Turmeric, a natural super botanical, has long been recognised for its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects and is a major source of the polyphenol curcumin. Each dose of Multi Story contains 10,000mg of turmeric root, providing 190mg of curcuminoids. It has been said to aid in the management of oxidative and inflammatory conditions, digestion, metabolic syndrome, arthritis, anxiety, and hyperlipidemia.
Ingesting curcumin by itself does not lead to the associated health benefits due to its poor bioavailability, which appears to be primarily due to poor absorption, rapid metabolism, and rapid elimination. Piperine is the major active component of black pepper and, when combined in a complex with curcumin, has been shown to increase bioavailability by up to 2000%, which is why each dose of Multi Story contains black pepper.
